Discover the Double Red Duke

Last week Dan and I had a cosy night away at one of my favourite country pubs, the Double Red Duke in the Cotswolds. This pub has everything you could wish for as a country escape. Roaring open fires, cosy sofas to snuggle upon, outstanding food and beautiful rooms to stay in.

Our room

We stayed in the family room with garden access. With a super large emperor bed, roll top bath and views of the vegetable garden and spa shepherds hut.

The room is large enough to fit a family of 4, with one single bed close to the door, and another cot area. But as it was just the two of us, we enjoyed lounging in the large space.

Upon arrival I filled the bath with 100 acres bubble bath and luxuriated in there until it was time to join Dan in the bar for a cocktail. Dan worked from one of the cosy sofas, with a cup of tea and cake.
